17:06 is back in the US of A! Cleared customs, giant suitcase re-checked, waiting at the gate for the flight from Charlotte to Baltimore....
17:49 is really hoping this "slight delay" in boarding our flight doesn't become a long one. I wanna get home! I've got a poker game to get to!
18:39 is finally on the airplane and underway, but there are a dozen other airplanes in front of us waiting to use the runway. Sigh...
20:43 had a grand adventure in Europe but is very glad to finally be back home.
02:19 only lost 1 dollar at poker tonight, despite being massively distracted by post-trip recovery and storytelling
03:35 is watching the first episode of the new version of the Prisoner (liking it so far) with a little black cat perched upon his knee

13:27 is In London with Petra and Liza at a bubble tea place called the Candy Cafe, the first place with free WiFi he's found in 2 days
13:39 is having trouble with his iPhone. Most of my non-built-in aps have started instantly crashing. Rebooting the phone doesn't help. WTF?
13:42 is enjoying his last night in Europe but is also really looking forward to tomorrow's journey home. (We'll see if I can find WiFi again!)

09:07 is enjoying the last day of the Cannabis Cup. Took the shuttle from Greenhouse to the Expo, voted etc, then shuttled back to the Bluebird
09:16 has reached the stage of the adventure in which I'm starting to look forward to getting home (although I'm still having a really grand time)
11:15 is at the Bulldog Palace, a coffeeshop housed in a former Police Station (where early leaders of the c-shop movement had once been jailed)
11:20 is now going out for Thanksgiving dinner with Anthony at one of the many Argentinian steakhouses in the Leidseplein. Happy holiday y'all!
17:22 is at the Cannabis Cup awards ceremony. Winner for the Best Weed is Super Lemon Haze from the Greenhouse. (I tried some - it was tasty bud!)

09:21 is back at the Dolphins, because I know they have WiFi, plus it's a sweet coffeeshop. Before that: Resin, Greenhouse, Popeye's, and 420 Cafe
10:38 got email at the Dolphins from Don H, urging me to join him at the Bluebird, so I hoped on a tram and a subway and now we're hanging out!
16:17 is at the Melkweg with a huge crowd of Cannabis Cup attendees, grooving at the Greenhouse-sponsored Slighty Stoopid concert

15:15 is back at Original Bulldog, getting some work done with their free WiFi, grooving to the techno beats, and enjoying yet another hot cocoa
15:20 is always amazed at how many people bicycle through Amsterdam, and that NONE of them every wears a helmet.
15:37 is moving on to another Amsterdam coffeeshop - hopefully it won't be too long before my next free WiFi opportunity...

16:01 is at the Dolphins, now the only coffeeshop in Amsterdam with an overhead fishtank lamp fixture (since the one at the Bulldog disappeared)
16:36 is hanging out at the Dolphins, where they have free WiFi, posting a few pics to FaceBook, and enjoying a little sandwich called a toastie

09:27 has FINALLY found another coffeeshop with working free WiFi - a very special favorite, the Bluebird! Wow, they have a Twilight Zone pinball!
13:05 is at Coffeeshop Baba in Amsterdam, where they have big clear glass hookahs on the table, with glowing lights in their bases. Trippy indeed!
15:44 is having another grand day, wandering the fascinating streets of Amsterdam, floating from one coffeeshop to the next, i.e. "coffeeshopping"

07:49 has arrived in Amsterdam and is now at the Original Bulldog coffeeshop, enjoying their free wi-fi, a proper hot cocoa, and You Know What
12:26 is at his favorite Coffeeshop, Abraxis. Of course they have wi-fi (whereas the Rokerij & Grasshopper did not). I'm trying their Space Cake!
12:38 had a great time at the previous coffeeshop, the Rokerij, playing "Guess What I Do For a Living" with a trio of American college students
12:50 is glad to have seen the scene in another Dutch city but is glad to finally be in Amsterdam, where the coffeeshops are far superior...
13:02 is thinking, "wow the weed is a lot more expensive here in the big city. Shoulda bought more in Rotterdam."
13:06 is very pleased with the hot chocolate at Abraxis. Full points -- it came with a small, delicious, individually wrapped cookie on the side
13:09 Bulldog also got full cookie points, but Grasshopper was a big disappointment -- unlike 5 years ago, paper cup, no cookie, and overpriced!
13:13 finds it interesting to note the various differences since my last visit. Barney's was remodeled. Pink Floyd is gone -- it's a Dampkring now
13:16 still thinks it's pretty amazing, even though I've done it a bunch of times now, to be in a place where I can purchase and use weed legally
16:00 is bummed out at discovering that one of his very favorite coffeeshops, La Canna, has closed forever. I shall miss playing Homeworlds there.

07:33 is on a train from Schipol airport to Rotterdam, watching Dutch landscapes sliding by and snacking on a little more of that leftover cake
13:03 took a jet-lagged nap in his room at the Skyline Hotel and now is heading out into the streets of Rotterdam, looking for their Coffeeshops
13:12 didn't see any coffeeshops in his first few hours here and started to worry, but now I've already found 3 within a short walk from my hotel
13:18 is at settled in at a coffeeshop in Rotterdam called Mon Camarade, sampling their White Widow and feeling really really good.
13:58 digs Mon Camarade. 5 guys are playing a spirited game of Monopoly in one corner, and all around me dudes are smoking pot! In public!
16:57 is back in his hotel room with a phone running out of juice and a power adapter that doesn't fit into any of the wall sockets in here

18:45 is finally boarding his delayed flight to Philly. Hoping for no trouble catching the connecting flight to Amsterdam!
