Cleared customs, giant suitcase re-checked, waiting at the gate for the flight from Charlotte to Baltimore....&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;17:49&lt;/em&gt; is really hoping this "slight delay" in boarding our flight doesn't become a long one. I wanna get home! I've got a poker game to get to!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;18:39&lt;/em&gt; is finally on the airplane and underway, but there are a dozen other airplanes in front of us waiting to use the runway. Sigh...&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;20:43&lt;/em&gt; had a grand adventure in Europe but is very glad to finally be back home.&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;02:19&lt;/em&gt; only lost 1 dollar at poker tonight, despite being massively distracted by post-trip recovery and storytelling&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;03:35&lt;/em&gt; is watching the first episode of the new version of the Prisoner (liking it so far) with a little black cat perched upon his knee&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</content>

Most of my non-built-in aps have started instantly crashing. Rebooting the phone doesn't help. WTF?&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:42&lt;/em&gt; is enjoying his last night in Europe but is also really looking forward to tomorrow's journey home. (We'll see if I can find WiFi again!)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</content>

Took the shuttle from Greenhouse to the Expo, voted etc, then shuttled back to the Bluebird&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;09:16&lt;/em&gt; has reached the stage of the adventure in which I'm starting to look forward to getting home (although I'm still having a really grand time)&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;11:15&lt;/em&gt; is at the Bulldog Palace, a coffeeshop housed in a former Police Station (where early leaders of the c-shop movement had once been jailed)&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;11:20&lt;/em&gt; is now going out for Thanksgiving dinner with Anthony at one of the many Argentinian steakhouses in the Leidseplein. Happy holiday y'all!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;17:22&lt;/em&gt; is at the Cannabis Cup awards ceremony. Winner for the Best Weed is Super Lemon Haze from the Greenhouse. Before that: Resin, Greenhouse, Popeye's, and 420 Cafe&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;10:38&lt;/em&gt; got email at the Dolphins from Don H, urging me to join him at the Bluebird, so I hoped on a tram and a subway and now we're hanging out!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;16:17&lt;/em&gt; is at the Melkweg with a huge crowd of Cannabis Cup attendees, grooving at the Greenhouse-sponsored Slighty Stoopid concert&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</content>

Wow, they have a Twilight Zone pinball!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:05&lt;/em&gt; is at Coffeeshop Baba in Amsterdam, where they have big clear glass hookahs on the table, with glowing lights in their bases. Trippy indeed!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;15:44&lt;/em&gt; is having another grand day, wandering the fascinating streets of Amsterdam, floating from one coffeeshop to the next, i.e. "coffeeshopping"&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</content>

    <content type="html">&lt;ul class="loudtwitter"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;07:49&lt;/em&gt; has arrived in Amsterdam and is now at the Original Bulldog coffeeshop, enjoying their free wi-fi, a proper hot cocoa, and You Know What&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;12:26&lt;/em&gt; is at his favorite Coffeeshop, Abraxis. Of course they have wi-fi (whereas the Rokerij &amp;amp; Grasshopper did not). I'm trying their Space Cake!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;12:38&lt;/em&gt; had a great time at the previous coffeeshop, the Rokerij, playing "Guess What I Do For a Living" with a trio of American college students&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;12:50&lt;/em&gt; is glad to have seen the scene in another Dutch city but is glad to finally be in Amsterdam, where the coffeeshops are far superior...&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:02&lt;/em&gt; is thinking, "wow the weed is a lot more expensive here in the big city. Shoulda bought more in Rotterdam."&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:06&lt;/em&gt; is very pleased with the hot chocolate at Abraxis. Full points -- it came with a small, delicious, individually wrapped cookie on the side&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:09&lt;/em&gt; Bulldog also got full cookie points, but Grasshopper was a big disappointment -- unlike 5 years ago, paper cup, no cookie, and overpriced!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:13&lt;/em&gt; finds it interesting to note the various differences since my last visit. Barney's was remodeled. Pink Floyd is gone -- it's a Dampkring now&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:16&lt;/em&gt; still thinks it's pretty amazing, even though I've done it a bunch of times now, to be in a place where I can purchase and use weed legally&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;16:00&lt;/em&gt; is bummed out at discovering that one of his very favorite coffeeshops, La Canna, has closed forever. I shall miss playing Homeworlds there.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</content>

    <content type="html">&lt;ul class="loudtwitter"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;07:33&lt;/em&gt; is on a train from Schipol airport to Rotterdam, watching Dutch landscapes sliding by and snacking on a little more of that leftover cake&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:03&lt;/em&gt; took a jet-lagged nap in his room at the Skyline Hotel and now is heading out into the streets of Rotterdam, looking for their Coffeeshops&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:12&lt;/em&gt; didn't see any coffeeshops in his first few hours here and started to worry, but now I've already found 3 within a short walk from my hotel&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:18&lt;/em&gt; is at settled in at a coffeeshop in Rotterdam called Mon Camarade, sampling their White Widow and feeling really really good.&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;13:58&lt;/em&gt; digs Mon Camarade. 5 guys are playing a spirited game of Monopoly in one corner, and all around me dudes are smoking pot! In public!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;16:57&lt;/em&gt; is back in his hotel room with a phone running out of juice and a power adapter that doesn't fit into any of the wall sockets in here&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</content>

I love traveling!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;18:02&lt;/em&gt; is waiting for a plane and enjoying a bite of the last slice of chocolate angel food cake made by Alison &amp;amp; Kristin for his birthday - yummy!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;18:45&lt;/em&gt; is finally boarding his delayed flight to Philly. Hoping for no trouble catching the connecting flight to Amsterdam!&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;em&gt;20:36&lt;/em&gt; is in the airport at Philadelphia, at Gate A22, just about to board US Airways flight 798 to Amsterdam! Yay!&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</content>
